July 4th

Typically we always do the same things on the 4th every year. I like it, but this year I wanted to add a little something to the fun of the day and try the 5k. Skyler was supposed to go with me, but he had a cold, so my mom took his place. Kenzie came along as well. I walked and ran. It was an awesome way to start the day. Energizing!

We all made some tie-dye shirts for the 4th, but mine didn't turn out so well.
Kenzie's and Skyler's turned out pretty good so they wore theirs. We'll have to try again next year.

The Great Francis'

We took Westin to visit his Great-Grandma and Grandpa Francis in Mapleton for the first time last month. It was a nice visit. They really went out of their way to make a fantastic dinner for us. Skyler's cousin and his wife we there also because they were staying with them so it was nice to talk with them as well. It's especially fun to visit in the summer time so we can just talk and relax outside in the fresh air.

Cherry Hill

My dad was given a gift certificate to Cherry Hill that he wasn't going to use so he gave it to me. I took my brother and sister to Cherry hill last month. We had so much fun. Westin enjoys it for only about an hour of less, and then it's time to go. We've been a couple of times since then, and plan on going lots more this summer!


Westin loves the pool the best and I enjoy the lazy river. Here are some pictures from our first visit.

It's hard to believe Westin is 9 months already!

Here are some things to note of his growth (and fun tid bits) from last month...

*Has already had his 2nd haircut
*Is starting to wave with his fingers (he stares at them,trying to figure out how they work)
*Loves to make a spitting noise with his lips (he does this all the time. It craks us up!)
*Started clapping! Yah!
*Loves him some Baby Einstein
*Started sticking out his tongue (a lot)
*Went to his second movie (Toy Story 3) since he was 2 months (we made it through!)
*Has a lot of separation anxiety!
*His first tooth came through... and there are 2 others following close behind!

I love his smile and giggle.

Homemade pizza is my favorite thing right now.

This was my kind of pizza! However, I was hoping for pine nuts. They are so expensive!

This particular pizza was only half homemade. The crust was store bought and very delicious.


I made another pizza recently with this homemade crust and it wasn't my favorite.

Do you have a favorite crust recipe? I'd love to try it.

Oh, yes, thin and crispy is where it's at!

Westin loves bedtime stories
He doesn't seem to care what the words on the page are.
He drags his hands from the top of the page to the bottom, because it makes a fun squeeky noise.
Who knew books could be so cool!

Flower Happy

I've gone a little flower happy this year. Just a little bit.

I've discovered that flowers are the perfect way to beautify your ghetto apartment!

My neighbors might say I'm a little obsessed.

I wouldn't say I have a green thumb yet, but I'm getting there!
