Thanksgiving

My family is pretty lucky. They never really have to "share" me with my in-laws. Other than last year when we spent Christmas with Skyler's parents in Washington, we've always just spent all holidays at my parents. This year we were able to have my grandparents (on my mom's side) over for Thanksgiving. It was so nice having them over. This year, my contribution to Thanksgiving dinner was homemade sweet rolls and oranged cranberry sauce. Both were a first for me and turned out wonderfully. So good!

We played a couple games of Bingo. We ran out of markers so we used valentine candy.

Skyler and others played lots of wii. Skyler's arm and whole right side is still recovering from the workout.

We ended up staying over from Wednesday through Saturday. Friday, while all the boys worked, my mom and I watched movies all day. No black friday shopping for us, just relaxing! I think we ended up watching 6 movies by the time the day was over!

Congrats Cassie & Alec!

Cassie, a friend of mine, was married on Friday in the Salt Lake Temple and had her reception on Saturday. It was a beautiful couple of days. I love weddings, especially when a good friend is getting married. Just so much fun.
Cassie and I met at Weber State about 5 years ago. We later became roomates in Provo until just before I was married. I'm so happy for her and Alec, her new husband. I wish them so much happiness. And I'm so excited that they will be living close so we can be married friends now!

I took a few photos at the wedding, which you can find here.

Twilight Goodness

I spent the first part of Saturday deep cleaning the house, which truthfully hasn't been done in such a long time, while Skyler did some much needed weather proofing of our apartment and various things around the house.
Afterwards, we went to see Twilight. We sat with Mandy, a friend of mine, and her mom. I was little bit weary before going into it because I had heard some mixed reviews. But I ended up LOVING it. Really good. And even though I'm not normally big on watching movies more than once, I just might with this one. Love love loved it!

Jazz Game

My sister Natalie invited me to go with her to the JAZZ game last night. Tony, her husband, works at the Jazz games doing media type things and sometimes she'll sit right behind him during the game, but tonight he was going to be doing something different so she invited me so sit in their season tickets seats. We didn't get there until half time, but thats ok, it was still oodles of fun. For some reason she is a Pheonix fan, so she was rooting for them while I was rooting for the Jazz. This made for a fun time. (Only time you'll really see me "rooting" or even caring an ounce for sports is if I know the person playing, or if I am of course at the actual event).

Jazz won! Woot woot!

Family Pictures

We had some family pictures taken on Saturday by a photographer friend of my dads. After we were done I wanted to take some as well while we were all dressed up. We went to a nice little location that McKenzie suggested. After a family shot, I wanted to get a few individual ones. There's even one of me courtesy of McKenzie!

Sigh...

Here's the next thing on my to do list. I didn't even get a chance to clean up leaves before it decided to snow. It seems that we've had a longer than usual fall. It's taken the leaves awhile to fall; which I'm totally ok with becuse it's so pretty, but that just means I have to rake wet leaves and thats no fun!

More halloween...

Another funny picture of Skyler and Bradley I found on my Brother's facebook. Bradley's costume makes me laugh. I suggested he wear this for Halloween and I almost can't believe he actually did, but then I remind myself that this is my brother we're talkin about!

Just thought I'd share this super cute picture of McKenzie. I have like a zillion pictures of her holding one of her cats. This one is Tazzy.

Thriller!

Skyler (sort of) suprised me with tickets to the last showing of Thriller. I had bluntly hinted that I wanted to go. Next thing I knew we had tickets... and for the front row! Good boy! It was awesome!! It was a mix of scary and funny. Loved the dancing. It really exceeded my expectations!

Ghosts, Ghouls, and Goblins oh my!

I went as a witch and Skyler, as a cop (I know, how original!)

Scary!
