 Aunt C'eras' dog "Twiggz" and Westin are best buddies

To say the dog is patient with him would be the understatement of the year.

If we ever get a dog, I want it to be just like Twiggz.

I had been looking and looking for something to put under our TV for a long time and finally we found a beautiful piece of furniture at an estate sale in our own ward one morning. We got it for a steal. I love it. I still have yet to do some work to it to bring it back to life, but it already makes our living room look so much more grown-up than our cheap coffee table with toys all over it:)

We went camping for the first time with Westin on our ward campout.

He slept wonderfully, until he woke up at 5am wondering where he was. Eventually, he went back to sleep. We had lots of fun and haven't been able to get enough of camping since.

July 4th

I'll be trying to catch up on some of our summer fun pictures. We'll start with the 4th of July.

Westin really really enjoyed this day. I was a little surprised how much he got into some of the activities of the day. 

At the parade he did lots of cheering and looked really interested in the floats and in all of the

goings on. With the fireworks, he wasn't so much a fan of the close ones on the street but he loved the

city fireworks show at the end of the night. He cheered and cheered! 

Fun day.

U2!!!!

My sister and I were able to go to U2 last month thanks to a certain someone with the hookups. I'm not a super huge U2 fan, but I do have several of their cds and know most of their songs so I was rather excited. It was a fun night.

We grabbed some delicious Arella Pizza before the concert. Setabello still has my heart but this place sure was good!

We took Trax and ended up missing all of the opening show, The Fray, because we had to wait so long and half the city was waiting to take it too. We made it just in time to grab some to-die-for donuts and maple dip before the show started.

It's certainly cute, but I miss his hair. We're letting it grow back:)

6 years and counting...

We celebrated out 6th wedding anniversary this year by staying at the Anniversary Inn. We'd never stayed anywhere like this before so this was a treat for us. It was really nice for the two of us to get away, even just for one night. It's a great way to recharge your batteries.

I'd never had room service before so this was fun and it was sooo good!

 I admired the pretty tulips outside of the mansion. They remind me of our wedding day with the tulips blooming all over the temple grounds. I loved these ones. They look painted.

Before we headed out we grabbed some Ruby Snap cookies. Sooo good!

Westin's Quilt

I tend to start and not finish projects. I'm a project unfinisher. But this year I've tried to change that. I'm trying to stick with something until it's finished. So in this effort, I wanted to finish a quilt I started for Westin a while ago. I started a quilt for Westin back when I was pregnant, soon after I found out I was having a boy. Yeah, it's been a while, but a few months ago I finished it! Here is the finished product!
