Family in October

October was pretty great this year. I mean it's always great anyways, because it's the best month of the year and all. But it was extra special because October is when we found out that we're expecting another baby! I think most friends and family know by now, I but I wanted to make note of it for remembrance and of course to make sure that everyone knows. We are so thrilled and so excited. Now that I'm past the sickness (have been for a month or two now), I can enjoy things from here on out; minus the uncomfortableness:) I was all tears in the ultrasound room when we were told that we'll be having a, "GIRL". We're excited for Westin to be a big brother!

Whilst C'era was visiting in the fall, we went up to (my favorite place) the mountains and got a few casual family photos taken.

A visit from Shiloh

Skyler's brother, Shiloh, came to Utah in October and stayed with us. It was nice to have him visit and I enjoyed getting to know him better, since he lives in California and we never see him. I found that we had a lot more in common than I knew. One of the biggest things we have in common is a love for nature and being outdoors. He wanted to go on a hike while he was here so we took him up to one of the prettiest areas close by. It was very peaceful and so pretty. Hikes in the fall are a must for me!

Pumpkin Patch

We took a trip to the Pumpkin patch and I was hoping to get some 2 year old pictures of Westin, but he was loving the new place and all the pumpkins too much to look at the camera so we just let him enjoy himself and got a bunch of shots in the process:)

Westin's 2nd Birthday

We celebrated Westin's 2nd birthday in October of last year. It was a wonderful October day and Westin loved every minute of it. He loves the birthday song and we were finally able to sing it just to him. He loved it. He loved blowing out the candles too. I think we even lit them at least a couple of times so he could blow them out more than once.

Love to ride

Looking at these pictures made me feel nostalgic about summer. We took bikes rides as often as we could. The trail is perfect, away from traffic and in the countryish. It was one of my favorite things we did this Summer. It was a mixture of perfect really; being with my family, enjoying the great outdoors, the beautiful evening Summer weather, the warm breeze on my face, and a good excuse to get a little exercise.

Sometimes we would just ride, but sometimes we would make a stop at the Harmon's and grab a drink, snack, or a meal, usually whatever we had time for before we lost the sun (when bugs would smack us in the face on the way home). Westin loved the bike rides. He never complained and would even ask us to go on bike rides sometimes. Family bike rides are the best! 

 So serious. Look happy!
